I think so much of life is about how one responds to challenges or problems. Do you get soft and complain? Or do you try to stay positive, not make excuses and blame others, attack it, do your best, and plow forward? I try to do the latter.
Brett Amerine
Brett is a Managing Director with globally recognized entrepreneurial support organization, Startup Junkie, where he also founded Startup Junkie Foundation. He’s also a Managing Director with leading innovation consultancy, Innovation Junkie. In addition, Brett is an investor, General Partner, and Co-Founder of Cadron Capital Partners. Cadron Capital Partners Fund I is on track to hit a 65% IRR, with the portfolio value estimated to be up 365% or 4.5x since inception. The portfolio includes companies such as AcreTrader, Ox, Encore Bank, and many other venture investments. Currently, Brett and his Co-Founders are raising Cadron Capital Partners Fund II. In addition, Brett is a Co-Founder, Manager, and investor in Tonic Fund I and Tonic Fund II, with portfolio companies that include Slim Chickens, Apptegy (11x exit), Teslar Software (10x exit), Generation Tux and many others. Prior to this, Brett served nearly 5 years in Honolulu, Hawaii, and Los Angeles, California, as a United States Air Force Officer focused in project management and contract management where he led high-visibility, multimillion- and billion-dollar service, construction and aerospace contracts and project teams. At his final assignment in the United States Air Force, he bought the Atlas and Delta space rockets, specializing in the procurement of the liquid upper-stage rocket engines.
Brett graduated from the University of Arkansas College of Engineering with a master’s degree in Operations Management. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas Sam M. Walton College of Business. Brett was named as one of Arkansas’s Fast 15 by the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal. Brett is a certified Project Management Institute Project Management Professional (PMP).
