A Tale of Two Cities

The “Tale of Two Cities” exercise highlights contrasting community and economic development approaches: traditional needs-focused development (deficits) vs. a strengths-focused model (assets), empowering communities to use their unique gifts (individuals, associations, institutions, physical assets) for self-driven change, fostering dignity and co-production instead of dependence. It teaches the value of building on what is there rather than what’s missing.

Right-Sizing Your Strategy: Aligning ESO Activities with Organizational Maturity

We’re great at helping entrepreneurs build sustainable businesses but often neglect our own organizational health. This session provides ESO leaders with a practical maturity framework to honestly assess where their organization stands across 12 key dimensions—from leadership and funding to ecosystem integration and impact measurement. Participants will receive a ready-to-use playbook for building a stronger, more sustainable ESO. Because we can’t effectively support entrepreneurs if we’re running on fumes ourselves. Come ready for real talk, reflection, and a clear roadmap forward.

Augmented Intelligence: How To Use AI To Amplify Your ESO

Chances are artificial intelligence is already being used in your organization. This session gives you a fresh perspective on the implications of AI usage and how you can lead adoption for maximum impact. Key takeaways include real-world use cases and tips to ensure AI becomes leverage instead of a liability.

SEC Resources to Empower your Entrepreneurs

Learn how SEC resources can empower entrepreneurs to better understand fundraising, investor protections, and regulatory considerations. This session will highlight free, accessible tools ESOs can use to educate founders and strengthen their communities’ approach to capital readiness.

Intro to Grants for ESOs

Interested in grant funding but don’t know where to start? In this session, we will explore how grants work, where to find grant funders, and how to put together a winning proposal. Learn how grants can become an effective part of your overall fundraising strategy for your ESO.
