Frequently asked questions about memberships

What is the Arnold Innovation Center?

Great question! The Arnold Innovation Center (AIC), powered by Conway Corporation, is a coworking space managed and operated by Conductor. Conductor exists to empower entrepreneurs and innovators by providing low to no-cost resources and to remove any and all barriers to innovation and entrepreneurship. The AIC gives business owners a space to launch and grow their businesses, with easy, affordable access to peers, technical assistance, subject matter experts, and meeting space.

Do I qualify to become a member at the Arnold Innovation Center?

Are you an entrepreneur (current or aspiring) or do you own a small business? If your answer is yes, then you qualify! Fill out our member application here.

I run a not-for-profit organization. Do I qualify for membership?

Unfortunately, nonprofits do not qualify for membership. Although Conductor and some of our programming supports nonprofits, our focus for this space is small business owners and entrepreneurs to stay true to our mission and the organizations that fund our work.

Do Independent Contractors qualify as small business owners?

It depends on how you’re operating, but in most cases, we do not consider Independent Contractors as qualified members. For example, if you’re working under a larger umbrella organization selling insurance, providing financial management, selling houses, etc. Or if you’re working as an independent contractor under a multi-level marketing company, you would not qualify. We’re able to keep the costs of the membership so low do to our amazing funders who want to see us help small businesses start, grow, and create new jobs, so unfortunately we do have to limit our ability to provide memberships.

If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to our Community Coordinator, Kaitlyn Crockett at kaitlyn@arconductor.org

Is there a place I can store my lunch?

Yes! There is a refrigerator and freezer to store your food. The kitchen is available to all members, along with coffee and snacks. There are plates, silverware, cups, coffee mugs, and utensils. All we ask is for members to wash dishes immediately after use and clean out items from the refrigerator at the end of each day.

Can I host an event at the Arnold Innovation Center?

We have an event space that holds up to 75 people. Contact us to talk about hosting your event at the AIC! You can email Kaitlyn Crockett at kaitlyn@arconductor.org for inquiries about the event space (and other meeting spaces).

Can I have guests?

Absolutely! We allow guests for meetings (not for coworking) and we ask our members to let their guests into the building when they arrive and escort them out at the end of the meeting. Members are responsible for their guests while they are in the space.
